In short, I guess as our name also says, we’re turning the corner on the barbershop concept. We believe these times demand healthy, inspiring options. So we want to talk but grow too. Laugh and show love. Reminisce but have respect for one another. And honor the voices and values of others.

I’m a Chicago Girl born and raised over East, as we say back home.

My barber journey began over 30 years ago when my friend simply asked if I could help him cut his hair. With no experience, I did and the rest is history. The idea of changing the way someone looked within minutes fascinated me. I went from fading all the guys in my mom’s kitchen to working in my friend’s shop, to becoming a shop owner.  Yes, in case you’re wondering, I’ve only been a true-hearted entrepreneur since I was a teenager.

In that entrepreneurial spirit, it’s time to blend my heavily applauded techniques and Chi-Town culture with Arizona’s charm and diversity. Cut’N hair is an art and I believe to become a great barber, one must not only be passionate about their craft but too, one should always be client centered. It is certainly true for me that every individual has their own needs and desires and it’s my responsibility to groom accordingly.

I must say, this was the best career choice I could’ve ever made. Some even call it a Gift. As a woman, I’ve surely carved out my own space in this field, earning respect from my loyal and day one clients, celebrities and yes, my peers. But this ain’t your normal shop. Know that I’ll soon be paying it all forward, offering upcoming trainings, classes and mentoring for aspiring barbers. The true essence of bringing a Cold Wind to the City with my Chi skills will be on full display for our community. Trust that, I’ll never compromise my old school vibe even as I stay on top of all the new school techniques.
